I went into the venture of hiring a personal training with a degree of scepticism and a lot of pre-conceived ideas. I thought it was for people who thought they could 'buy' their way to a happier, healthier lifestyle and that lifting weights was for ego-driven muscle heads who found a compensatory factor was brought into their lives by exercising their physical muscle as opposed to their intellect. After a few weeks with Kagan, I am glad to now realise how entirely wrong I was. My situation was a bit unique, but not uncommon.

GENERAL FITNESS QUESTIONS
There are only two things you can do to lose fat. Improve your diet and regular exercise. That’s it. There are a 101 different diets out and really most of them are created to sell books and magazine. So this is what you need to do. Eat healthy every day. That means more vegetables, less sweet foods, moderate protein intake. Exercise regularly whether that’s gym workouts, cardio classes, bootcamps, walking the dog, just exercise. And at the end of the day your calories burned need to be more than your calories consumed.
Short answer….. Yes. If you go to the gym on a regaular basis and complete a leg workouts that’s specifically designed to tone and shape your butt, then guess what…. you will tone and shape you but….. HOWEVER….. you will still need to eat a healthy diet and exercise regular to lose the fat as well.
Abs, Abs and more Abs…… Oh and a healthy diet and regular exercise. The same principal and toning a shaping your butt. If you complete an ab workout on a regular basis every week you will achiev a flat stomach BUT….. you also have to eat healthy and exercise regular to lose excess fat as well.
This depends on what you want to achieve. If you just want to feel fitter overall then start with cardio. if your focus is on toning up then you want to have a progressive training program that has a mixture of cardio and weight training. If you want to build muscle then your training program needs to be primarily focus around weight training but has has a small amount of cardio built into it.
